Academic Competitions
IISE Concordia hosts various competitions every year in collaboration with companies and occasionally with other associations. The four main competitions are Case Competition, Simulation Competition, Theoretical Competition and Technical Competition, which are organized by the VP Competitions. This allows students to gain technical and soft skills through extra-curricular activities.
Participants could have the opportunity to be selected to represent Concordia at the National IISE Student Conference. Those selected to compete at the national level receive training from IISE resources organized by the VP Competitions.

Technical Paper Competition

Theoretical Exam Competition
Oct 23, 20263:00 PMH1032Test your knowledge of core IE concepts: operations research, manufacturing, quality, probability, statistics, ergonomics and production systems. Open to Industrial Engineering students only. Prize: $200 cash plus a chance to represent Concordia at the IISE conference. Registration closes Thursday, October 22 at 9:00 PM.

Case Competition
Oct 26, 20269:00 AM - 6:00 PMH1032 + 8th floorAnalyze a real industrial problem from an industry partner and present your recommendations to industry professionals. Industrial Engineering students only, teams of 4, maximum 6 teams. Prize: $400 cash plus a chance to represent Concordia at the IISE conference. Limited spots – register early.

Simulation Competition
Oct 27, 20263:00 PMH1032Teams receive the case on Saturday, October 24 and have three days to model and optimize a system in Arena before presenting to the judges. Industrial Engineering students only, teams of 4, maximum 6 teams. Prizes: $400 cash, grade incentives from the INDU 311 professor for all participants, and a chance to represent Concordia at the IISE conference. Registration closes Friday, October 23 at 9:00 PM.
